Vantage fuel filler cap release

Has anybody experienced problems opening the fuel filler cap on their V8 Vantage. I found that mine would not open either remotely or using the 'emergency' release in the boot. Fortunately I was not needing fuel at the time because it took 1 hour to finally access! Once opened I've sprayed liberal quantities of WD40 into the catch mechanism and that seems to have resolved the problem.

There has been lots of issues with the fuel flap and as a rule it is down to incorrect adjustment, So in many cases easily fixed
