RHD headlights adjustment to drive in France with a db7i6
« on: January 11, 2010, 07:28:46 PM »
Hello,

I am french and I just bought a 1999 RHD db7i6 in uk. Is there a possibility to adjust the headlights to drive on the right side of the road?
Many thanks.
Regards,
Daniel

hello sir, the headlamps are adjustable to comply with continental driving, but this is not to actually turn them to left hand drive spec just a short term solution, so if the car is going to stay in france you will probably have to change the headlamps,

Hello,
Thank you for your answer. Is it necessary to change the complete headlamps assy or only optical parts of outer lights?
As I will not use the Aston Martin every day, if there is a possibility to adjust the lights like you explain in a post for the V8 Vantage, probably it will be OK.
There is no Aston Martin dealer where I live in France. I would need to go to Paris (250 miles).
I prefered asking questions to you as you are a well known specialist. I found your name and Internet site on Pistonheads forum (I bought my DB7 on Pistonheads). Sure you can help me better than Aston Martin Paris!
There is a good Jaguar specialist where I live, perhaps he can do the service work and repair as the DB7 has common points with the Jaguar XJS (I own a 1992 XJS V12 convertible) but I prefer asking an Aston Martin specialist for advice and buy parts in UK.
Regards,
Daniel
