What is decorking an exhaust on an Aston Martin

The term decorking the exhaust is a permenant way of disabling the exhaust bypass valves, this is the preferred method rather than removing fuse 22, Removing fuse 22 leaves a code with in the engine management, where as this method does not,

This method is usually done on a ramp as access to the underside of the car is required, the vacuum pipes to the exhaust bypass are disconnected, sealed and then fastened back,

The downside to this method is that as with long term removal of fuse 22 the bypass valves can seize, secondly even though it is not a difficult job to refit the vacuum as mentioned before access is required to the underside of the vehicle. where as refitting fuse 22 take seconds,

The other option is an exhaust bypass switch,
